On 29th November, 2024, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, hosted an engaging Counsellors’ Meet in collaboration with the Naz Foundation and the school’s Breaking Barriers campaign. The session brought together counsellors from various schools to discuss inclusive mental health practices, particularly for LGBTQIA+ students.

The event was highly interactive, featuring open discussions and case studies that empowered counsellors to address diverse student needs. Experts from Naz Foundation shared practical tools and techniques for creating safe spaces in schools, fostering empathy, and promoting mental well-being.

Counsellors appreciated the opportunity to exchange insights and experiences, enriching their understanding of inclusivity. Many shared that the meet provided actionable strategies and increased their confidence in handling sensitive issues. The impactful session emphasized the importance of breaking stereotypes and building a compassionate school environment, leaving participants inspired to drive meaningful change in their institutions.
